Why I believe in God

I normally wouldn't do this because I don't consider my blog to be the forum on which to express these kinds of thoughts. I prefer this kind of discussion of topic to be conducted face-to-face in a more intimate setting, as to allow room for questions and if need be (though I abhor it) a heated disagreement.
However, I have been urged to do so from friends and strangers alike. I thought about it and weighed the options. My blog is a random wandering through a variety of topics, mostly capitalizing on technology, my college life, and other topics that do not hit sensitive nerves. Personal beliefs and politics hit sensitive nerves, both of which I try to avoid here.
But I think it's time to hit a nerve and give you a summation of why I believe what I do. This question was posed to me by an atheist acquaintance and I answered it as you shall see below.
Please note: I don't convince people. This is not me trying to convince you. You, as well as other people, will make your own choices. You will come to a conclusion you believe best suits you, just as I have. However, I highly encourage you, as I have done, to commit yourself to a lot of research before you come to a conclusion. Read both sides, or if there are more than two sides, read all sides. Wrong decisions and conclusions are results of ignorance.

Acquaintance:
Witness to me, Head-Strong [sic] Christian. Why do you believe?

My reply:
I believe:
-because I've done enough research for myself to come to the conclusion that the Bible is a historically accurate book.
-because I believe that every human being's person desires justice. Without God I don't believe we would have justice.
-because I believe in balance...we are imperfect creatures living in an imperfect world...there must be a perfect Being and a perfect place.
-because I believe our soul, the mind, the heart, of a person is such that it will outlast our physical body. And I don't believe it goes out into space....I believe there is a destination for that part of humans.
-because it's not impossible to believe. There are many impossible things/ideas we believe in science. We can't see ourselves think, I can't hold it, but we know people do because of actions they commit. We can't see gravity, but we know "it" exists because it holds things down. We don't know what dark energy is, yet we know dark energy produces a repulsive force field and we believe it exists.
-because I am a better person because of my belief in God. I would be a much more terrible person, if I did not have this belief.
-We are imperfect creatures, to go to a perfect place we need to be perfect. Because we are not, someone would have to take our imperfections to allow ourselves to go to that perfect place. I believe Jesus came in the human form of God and lived 33 years on this earth in perfection and died to take our imperfections on Him. I believe because of the sacrifice of His perfect self to death, that allows us to enter into a perfect place as long as we believe it.

I want you to know, I am not writing this to convince you. In fact, I know what I have written you will combat and disagree with. I'm ok with that. Everyone was granted with a free will, a will to decide what they believe and do not believe. I simply wrote, in answer to your question, why I believe what I believe.

John 3:16

You need me...

...You know you do.
I've been working my butt off at my internship and at my job...this past week I punched in almost 50 hours. So forgive my need for sleep. I have alot to talk about (when do I not?) but seeing as it's 1:11 in the morning and I have to work tomorrow...I'm probably better off catching up on some sleep. One update though: I can hear :) out of both ears.
Okay, okay, enough prolonging this inevitable departure.
Later homefries.

Been meaning to do this..

It's been awhile I know..
but good news. I mean really good news. I got an iPhone. :) call it my early Christmas gift :)
I am a happy little soul. So hence the reason I haven't blogged...I've been messing around on 'Jemima'...oh, I named her. Anyway, here are the updates....I'm interning at a PR company and working at Houston's, and the combination is going to kill me. But anyway, I went to the audiologist doctor today...and now I'm on steroids. They don't think my deafness is permanent. Thank God.
Oh and yesterday, I was mentioned in a California classroom 3,000 miles away because my friend thought an action I committed was relevant to his lesson plan that day. I thought that was pretty cool.
Oh annnnndddd my brother pulled out the trampoline. Expect some trampoline pics. I can almost guarantee you. Wow....I am just rambling on and on.....I'm so sorry....this is an atrocious post. *sigh* I'm just tired. I'm having a hard time coming up with things to say....that's a first.
Well I mean, I know there's some stuff I wanted to mention like: Sarah Palin's a artist, this would be incredibly cool to have, and this is a quote well worth reading....in my opinion.
Oh and that me and my family want to spread holiday cheer to you. :)
I guess that's all I'm having a hard time forming a coherent thought....so I shall call it a night.
But one last thought:
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."
So Christian ponder that. Be on fire, or be my firewood.

Invitation to the pity party

Finals are over with, I feel like someone just unstrapped me from a very tight corset. It's a relief. Anyway, so I spent 3 hours at the doctor's and special clinic to test my left ear because I can no longer hear from it. I walked away with no relief from the silence. Tomorrow I'm gong to an ENT to see if they can somehow treat it. Now if you have been a faithful follower of this wonderful, amazing, superfluous, blog you will remember I came back from TX's over the summer on a plane while I had a cold. The result from that was a serious infection that had me deaf for about a month. Well, the ear that was infected is the same ear that is now deaf. The problems never cease. Anyway, I cried for a bit while coming back home. I don't want to be partially deaf, that's just no fun. But then I realized: I still have the other ear, so it's really not all that bad. My life could be much worse. The pity party that I was enjoying so much earlier got broken up by my positive thoughts.
Anywayzers...so that was my day. I also heard that alot of '.com's' are being used around the world wide web so "officials" are probably going to start using '.mobi' as a substitute for '.com'....actually '.mobi' is already available for public registration.
so yeah I thought that was pretty interesting.....what kinda stinks though is that it's 4 letters...not 3 like .com.
Why couldn't they have made it two? or one? sheesh...they need a person like me to work for them. :P

TheGreatHatsby Project

I have to tell you a story about OptomisticCoho and FidgetyCoho. Don't let me forget.....
Okay now that I got some sleep, let me tell you my story.
I was heading off to bed, when before I went I checked my Gmail, twitter, etc. I noticed I received a message from the user name OptomisticCoHo. The message they sent was asking me to be it's friend. I asked if I knew the person. OptomisticCoHo responded said 'I don't know, but you asked to be my friend.' Quite confusing to say the least. I responded 'I did?' OptomisticCoHo: 'Yes you did, here's what you said "FidgetyCoho: Will you be my friend?"
I said 'I did not, my user name is mileless...not FidgetyCoho.' Well the confusion did not last long. I googled both user names and came up with what was happening. The Noisy Channel said it was a project conducted by AOL Instant Messenger. Wikipedia provided more information. It was just bizarre. My interest lies not so much in the how they pair a person up but why.
The guy that I got paired up with blogs so I was thinking maybe they find a common ground between the two and pair them up. Then I was thinking they might be doing this because not enough people are using AIM. Who knows.....all I know is that I randomly ended up talking to a guy that lives in Virginia. Very strange. And to be honest I'm not entirely sure that's a safe thing to do. According to Wikipedia, it hasn't happened in a while with the exception of my case...
Anyway, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
If you wanna opt out of it, go to The Noisy Channel's blog and follow his steps to opt out of it.
Otherwise try not to be creeped out (if that's even possible) and say hi to the other person.

Moo..

I woke up to a noise I've been frequently hearing lately...a moo.
yup, cows roam my backyard...and they are so cool. They're scared of me though...not entirely sure why. But oh well. I did have the opportunity to sneak up and capture them on the digi.
Yep...that was one of the two that was in the pasture out back.
Anyway, I went to see the movie Twilight tonight. Gosh. It was so romantic. Made me want my own Edward Cullen. Now if you don't know, I'm not a romantic type girl...but this movie....oh man...had a guy been sitting next to me....I'm pretty sure I would have been tempted to kiss him just cause of that movie. Thankfully I was sitting in between girls. I joked after the movie that I want an action figure Edward Cullen. :P
After the movie, went to grab some food with my friends, and then I headed over to Target Copy to enjoy some coffee and chat with a friend. This always seems to happen...at least 1 in every 4 times I go to a coffee shop I end up talking with the random person sitting at the next table over. These conversations are always interesting..they involve, for the most part, beliefs, life, love, experiences, politics...it's always mentally stimulating. Anyway, so me and my girlfriend were talking and this guy joins our conversation...we were talking about guys and cheating. My friend was going through some rough stuff, basically the guy she liked and had dated was taken from her by her best friend. Good drama. Anyway this guy was off his rocker (at least I think so) he started telling her that she need to cope by doing these stomach meditation things...he also gave her some other advice, which I would voice my disagreement with. He would then sorta kinda challenge me, and then I would back it up with my counter-arguments, then I would challenge him and he would just give me some BS answer. I hate that. I don't like it when people talk to talk. I much rather prefer people do their research before they start pulling answers out of their nose. He made claims as to what people had said (ie. Buddha, Jesus, Joesph Smith) some of which I have done some reading on...I am no expert by any means but I know the basics, if not a bit more. Anyway his claims about what these people said were false. So annoying. If you don't know something about something say so and then go do your research if you feel compeled too. I'll respect you more for it. I don't think there is anything wrong with saying you don't know something, after all we can't be experts in everything. Anyway, so I left annoyed.
But I refuse to leave my post annoyed...so I shall share this song that I have been enjoying lately. so enjoy.

Crying windows, emerging media, and opinions

I woke up to 29 degree weather. It made me not want to get out of bed. Well, cold weather in general makes most people not want to get out of bed...but today it made me really want to stay in bed. The condensation on my window was pretty unreal enough that I thought it deserved a picture. It looks like my window is crying.
Anyway I went to a workshop tonight for PRSSA. The guy who spoke was Michael Pranikoff from Emerging Media. He talked about web 2.0 and how it can be used in relation to public relations; I thought it was very interesting.
Anyway so I got home tonight to find out that an email I had sent out earlier today to some columnist is going to be printed in the opinion's section of tomorrow's newsletter. How random. It's not even an opinion, I was just commentating on an idea, well more like a sentence he had written. (Here it is)
Well I'm hungry and I'm gonna go eat some soup.

Updated?

So as I'm sure you can see (or not if you've never visited my page before)...that I have updated it. Yep, I have. So whaddya think? snazzy? too mundane? too girly? too new? too strange?
well lemme know...or not...what you think....
Me personally...I like it...I mean it's new, hip, a lil funky....rubs my funny bone...so I kinda like it. Probably not as much as my first template but oh well...it was giving me way too many problems so I have to settle for second best. And this boys and girls, is it.
I must, as almost all us bloggers must do at least once, apologize for not blogging as much as I should be blogging. It's been a trying and busy month; which you should be quite happy to hear. When I'm busy that means I have less time to plan my hostile takeover of the planet. So no news, is really good news.
I went to see UF beat USC yesterday with my cousin...he had been dying to go to a game, so I snuck him in >:)
I have season tickets, but that was my first time going to a game this season...hey I needed some dinero! But it was pretty sweet not gonna lie. The final score was 56 to 6. It was a beautiful victory. hmmm I probably should post a picture or something....okay hang ten lemme get my camera....
AHHHHHHH! You should adore me....I got out of my nice warm comfy bed and stepped out to grab my camera and in the process of doing that almost got frostbitten...it's 50 degrees in my room. chillllly. anyway....
You can see we had pretty good seats...right next to the band...and they sat for the majority of the time so we could see the plays pretty well...
you can also see the guy doing the gator chomp. Pretty savy. So that was my weekend. now I have to go clean my house and do some homework all of which I have no desire to do.

Why hello box...

So I just did what probably is the rashest thing I have ever done. I have gotten rid of my phone: I am cell phoneless.
I just stepped back into the late 80's. oh yeah, I'm rockin' it old school. So if you need to catch me, facebook or email, is the best way to get a hold of me. I'm calling this moment My Personal Strike. Sprint/Nextel has been giving me a really hard time, and people haven't been listening to me and we've been talking back and forth for about 3 months and no agreement has been made...only bandaids to cover up the gaping problem.
Let me take a moment to say, Sprint/Nextel has the worst customer service not only plans. Many people have complained about it but they're not really in tune with their customer's, much less listen to them...So I'm starting my personal revolt. And man, it feels good. It also is liberating, not having a cell. I feel so uncommitted, and we all know how much I like that. Can't believe I'm doing this? well, I am michelle and I like finding ways to step out of the box.
I'm glad this day has come....I just knew I would have to do this. But I didn't expect it to feel so good. :P

It's Fall..

I should be studying accounting....I have a quiz on it today. ew. I have a bazillion other things to do too...I shudder just thinking about my to-do list. But right now I want to be with you...to unload my unimportant rambling thoughts on you. Yes, I know, I know....'oh so we run on your schedule michelle? you don't blog for a month and now when it's not convenient for me you want to dish out your thoughts...you're so inconsiderate.' Well accept my humble apologies and get over it 'cause I'm dishing out whether you like it or not.
I'm officially more involved with school, I'm part of organizations and the like...I hated being involved before but I never knew why that was until a good friend of mine told me that perhaps I am a very one-minded person. I like doing something well (even perfectly) that I will devote all my time and efforts onto that one thing so that the results are perfection. I wanted my grades to be close to perfection. So I didn't like getting involved with anything that took away time from my one-minded goal. After that realization, I came to the conclusion that I am not being well-rounded and shucks! life was meant to be explored. So I took the plunge.
What else? Time is going so fast. I cannot believe I am a month into the fall semester. I really can't. And yes, at the risk of sounding cliche`, it was just yesterday that I was enjoying summer...doing almost nothing. Now it's fall, today I woke up to not 80-something degree weather but beautiful crisp 69-degree weather. Hello Fall, I missed you.
Along with fall came my a bit of my past...in more ways than one...I've talked about some very past personal struggles, experienced again what I thought for sure I had overcome, and talked with people I never thought I would again. The past is so nostalgic. Either your memories with it are good, bad or neutral. And mine are more or less...after staring at the computer screen for 5 minutes, I really don't know how else to say it but wishful. (Is that a word?) I just think what could have been....what if I hadn't been going 95 miles down that road, what if I hadn't said that, what if I had tried to understand, what if I had just come to terms with it, what if I had just accepted it....listen to me. Sheesh. Call me Michelle the Emo. That's rather surprising 'cause I'm sitting in the library and this is the last place a person should be emo at...I could be emo at a lake, next to a picnic basket...but not in a library. pfft. I amuse myself.
But that's not a good place to be...not emo, well yeah emo, but more specifically thinking about what could have been...it's not healthy. I need to acknowledge, accept, and adjust. My personal 3 A's. (I just came up with that....I should be a professor I'm just so smart....whoa, bad idea.)
But yeah, ok, moving on.
So you like to write songs but you're bad at rhyming....yeah we've all been there. Alright, you bad rhymer you....Go here....and write your emo poems or your emo songs.
Oh I read this about 2 weeks ago, sooo creepy, but very interesting...from the Wall Street Journal. Another interesting article....too.......and this is what I'll leave you with:

Seriously? no...seriously?

Annoyance doesn't even begin to cover it. I was biking along on campus minding my own business...and he pulls up beside me on his bike and asks me to pull over. Now I'm wearing my head phones but the music is low enough that I can still hear him asking me to do this in a normal tone. So I said sure! I thought maybe this biking policeman had gotten lost and was going to ask me for directions. I should have known better. He begins to inform me that I am breaking a biking law by wearing headphones while biking. Now I faintly remember reading something about this 2 years ago when I first came to this strange land they call college, but I foolishly forgot/dismissed it. I wish I could use my faint memory as an excuse for my foolishness but grr....I refuse to do so. So he begins to ask for my ID while I stare at him open-mouthed. I fumble for my school ID, to which he asks for my driver's license. So I fumble for that...all the while fuming. I can see how life-threatening it is to wear your headphones while on campus going 2 miles an hour. Yes, I know I'm being irrational. But I'm about to get worse. So he begins explaining some biking rules to me about how biking is just like a moving vehicle and how some things need to be adhered to; such as good brakes, good lights, good back lights, laws, stop signs, etc. I nearly busted my buttons; despite the fact I wasn't wearing any. So he proceeds to hand over my citation and explain to me that by signing the bottom of the document I am not saying I'm guilty but just acknowledging I've recieved it. He then says the amount of the ticket is in the upper right hand corner and this is where I lost him....because while I signed my little blue eyes traveled to the upper right hand corner and my jugular artery nearly burst: $94.00. Words simply cannot express what I felt then and there. It still can't. Oh wait...no no.....now it all makes sense, this must be incentive for me to bike safely and not drive so that I won't take up a valuable parking space at school and so I won't use our few precious resources. Yes, why lets pass out more biking tickets. I'm sorry I could see how going 2 miles an hour wearing headphones where the volume is so low I can still hear people around me would justify a $94 ticket. Bloody idiot. Wretched ticket. May the two go to a place I shall never set eyes on. Democrats this, this is precisely why I am a Republican....I want the government out of my business and to stop telling me what to do and not do. I was being safe. I wasn't killing anyone and if anyone would have died it would have been me, no big loss there. Yes....I know I broke the law. But seriously......$94! I understand $15, even $25...but $94? For that price, I would have rather been speeding at least I would have gotten a bit of a high off my speed. First day of school and that wretched male made it memorable.

To post or not to post...

Let me start by saying, I'm not so very confident about this post. I've written it 3 times, read it 20 times, and even now I'm not sure how to write it, much less what to say about it. But I feel a need to just talk about it. I mean I could avoid it altogether and not discuss it...oh pfftt...I'll just start talking about my topic. So relationships. The one between a boy and girl. That kind. I've noticed I've come around full swing. Allow me to take you back...When I first entered the dating world I used to be very cynical towards relationships. I firmly believed no guy was worth my time. I believed I didn't need a boy to do anything (I still do). I believed this for a good period of time. But eventually I got into a relationship where I was dating this boy every other month for 6 months. Why? I mean I had been so anti-relationship....well my family liked the boy.....and I adore my family so I just kinda dated him. But it was on and off. So after that relationship ended...I just became kind of apathetic towards relationships. I took the approach of "relationships, I guess, I mean if you want one yeah...." I dated here and there. Got into very brief relationships here and there (one lasted a week). None too serious (though there was an exception)............You know what, it just dawned on me why I'm apprehensive discussing this topic; it's personal and I'm not a 100% comfortable with that. I blog on very impersonal topics (generally) and now I'm spilling my soul.....ha!...you'd better appreciate this. But anyway, back to what I was saying. So yes, I continued dating after a year of being in college...let me clarify when I say date, I mean exactly that. We go to dinner, talk, eat, I go home. That's it. I'm a respectable girl. But anyway, I think after doing that a couple of times, I've come around full swing. Well, almost at least. I'm well on my way there.I've almost reached that Anti-Relationship status that I was at so long ago.I think I'm disappointed with what I've seen and have come to decide that being alone and being disappointed with myself is better than being with someone and being disappointed with them and me. I also think that I can't commit. I'm not sure I ever will. I mean I can, but I won't. I think I've realized some things just aren't worth my time. And boys happen to be one of them. I'm always amused by the reply I get when someone has discussed relationships with me and they discover where I'm standing on the issue. It comes in stages. Disbelief, deference, and doubt. First they can't believe I'm anti-relationship. Then they semi-respect me. And then they say, almost always, "You say that now Michelle, but you watch you'll be the first one married off. You are the marrying kind." It humors me. Tremendously. Relationships are almost over-rated. Am I cynical again? I think so. I was looking for "that" relationship, that one that would be so fun to be in.....but reality set in and now...I've flipped the sign on my shop door to 'Closed'. Life has more to offer than just relationships...it has amazing friends, enriching experiences, photographic moments, and many other things that we girls sometimes forget about when we are in a relationship...............Okay enough talk about that. Now 180 degrees onto the topic of technology (sorta). I'm recording what's on my many VHS tapes onto DVD...it is a time consuming process but also an educational one. If you ever undertake the same project, you will need to know 2 things. First, initialize. If you pop in a blank DVD (brand new) and the converter asks if you want to initialize, do so. If it's not blank and you've already recorded some stuff on it, then don't. Initialize basically means wipe out what’s on the DVD and start over. So only initialize if you don’t have anything on your DVD or you want to wipe something off. Secondly, Finalize. When you are done burning your stuff from VHS to DVD, you must finalize to view it. You can't just burn it onto your DVD and then expect to be done...you have to finalize. Finalizing is like the sealing process. It tells the DVD you can’t have anything else recorded on here you can only play in a DVD deck. You can also finalize on your computer with various programs, like Roxio. I have another month of converting...(I have a lot of VHS tapes) so if I have any other tidbits regarding this conversion process, I shall be sure to let you know. Anyway back to converting...

My temporary loss...

Summer makes me so lazy. I have done so little (with the exception of today). Today I was up at 6:40 a.m. and off to try my hand at Vinyasa Yoga. Quite an interesting experience I would say...at first I started doing the poses and I thought that it was the dumbest thing I had ever done in my short life. But then they started getting hard. And I changed my mind. I learned that I'm not flexible and I have zero balance. Fabulous.
But anyway that's not really what I'm here to talk about. Nope. I know I have neglected my blog but my reasons for doing so are valid. I went to Texas to visit my bestie and captured a cold (what a great way of saying that! 'captured a cold!') then I got on the plane to go back to Ft. Lauderdale. I came back in one piece but a day later I had a bloody freakin' painful earache. It woke me up at 3:40 in the morning and nearly pounded the brains right out of my ear, it was extremely painful. My mom found me crouched in the corner of my bed clutching my left ear at 7 something that morning...She wanted to take me to the ER but, me being me, I staunchly refused. That my friends is the dumbest thing you could ever do. If you can rate your pain higher than a 5, I would have said my was an 8 (my mom asked me to rate my pain) you should go to the ER. Don't be all macho...like me.
Anyway I nearly passed out from the pain, or what I have no idea...but the point is I nearly passed out. You should be concerned at this point; I have never passed out in my life.
I remember sitting at the dining room table, feeling my stomach lurch, and me thinking 'oh snap, I'm gonna throw up.' I walked as fast as I could toward the bathroom, opened up the lid, and said those famous lines 'Mom?' My mom walked over (more like ran) when she saw me go sheet white...and I slumped onto the bathroom floor (yes, I know, nasty). My mom started saying my name...and calling my brother at the same time. My brother said I was white enough that you could see the veins in my forehead. Of course my brother would notice that...never mind me dying on the floor...
Anyway I start coming to and my mom puts me to bed....which was hard because I was exhausted but the pain was so great I couldn't sleep....so (haha!) we abused prescription medicine. Hey I wasn't for it, but after my experience I'm all for it! She gave me Hydrocordone(?), leftovers from when my brother had his wisdom teeth removed. It put me to sleep in 45 minutes. I woke up after with blood coming from my ear (this just gets better and better) and it wasn't a drip-drop blood thing either, I mean it was coming. My mom who's in the medical field said something about a middle ear infection, oh joyousness. That day I just mostly slept.
The next day I went to see my doctor, I didn't have an appointment, which is a huge no-no for them at least, so I kinda shoved my way into an appointment. I get in there and the doctor is looking at my bloodied ear and she says, and I'll never forget "Michelle, you should have come sooner." Oh..................well I guess shoving my way into an appointment didn't cut it....next time I'll just barrel through the doors, forget the receptionist and the other people waiting. Oh the irony. Anyway my doc flipped her top and shoved me into another appointment, same day, with an ENT doctor.
Oh and did I mention, that since the moment blood was coming from my ear I was deaf in that ear? That was the best part!
But anyway, off I go to the ENT doctor and he tells me I do, in fact, have a middle ear infection, perhaps a blood clot on my eardrum, and a buildup of blood in my ear. He gives me steroids and another batch of pills that didn't seem as exciting as the steroids and sends me on my way informing me that I will get my hearing back (that is what concerned me most) but it might take up to a month.
It took about 3 weeks for me. But it did come back. Ironically also, prior to that whole experience about a month before I was talking to someone, I can't recall who...but I said that between seeing and hearing I would rather lose my sight....there is no replacement for the sound of human voices. And then I lose hearing in one of my ears. God has a sense of humor.
Regardless the whole experience was fabulous. Yes, it was awkward, I had to turn my head to really grasp what you were saying..I would get really dizzy just getting up from a chair sometimes...if you spoke behind me I had no idea what direction you were coming from..and my right ear (I never thought this was possible) would get tired of listening...really it would. At the end of a day I would tune people out without even intending to do so. Very strange.
Now I can hear fairly well, not fully yet, but I know the direction of sounds...it's still in some pain....like a very faint earache...but overall I'm on the mend.
I wrote this in my drug-induced state when I noticed my hearing was going in my left ear:
I now know what it is like to be deaf.
It is just what you hear on TV when the screen darkens and the voices fade away.
The people's voices, the clamor of the dishes, the slamming of a door are just a whisper.
It is as if they muffle themselves to avoid being overheard.
I guess that sums it up pretty well.
But anyway my last thought is for photographers with dSLR cameras!
You have to check out this site, but most importantly this post....it's just so creative.
I promise to post again later on this week :)

In Ft. Lauderdale....

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale airport waitin'.....

It's only Wednesday???

It should have rained all day instead of only part of the day.
I wanted the world to miserable with me.
but on the other hand did listen to some fabulous music!
If you enjoy acoustic, I highly recommend you check out Andy McKee on YouTube.
His music is inspiring.

You stupid girls...

My blog is generally light-hearted and very casual...I don't delve into anything deep because that's not really what I want this blog to be...(anything deep goes into my diary.)
But I have really been thinking lately. Thinking about stuff that bothers me. Like really bothers me. Like stupid girls. Yup, I'm bashing my own gender...believe it.
Girls that can't see whats in front of their faces or refuse to and cover it up or pass it off just really gets my goat (yeah I said it.)
The ones that deal with stupid boys just......grrr. Just bothers me. I mean, yes, stupid boys bother me too, but the stupid girls that put up with the stupid boys are even more bothersome. The girls that put up with the guys that swear, pull guns out to just 'play around' with, that disrespect them, that do drugs, that can't hold a job down, are previously married...those girls are stupid. And they are even dumber when they marry them. Then once they are married to the guy they just can't 'believe' that he is the way he is. Der! Why are you surprised that he's doing drugs...why are you surprised he's sleeping with other women....why are you surprised he's slapping you around....he was doing it before he said 'I do'! Did you expect him to make a 180 degree turn around? If so...your IQ is way below normal. Boy that bothers me...I shut my mouth about it the majority of the time because I know quite a few people in this situation.
It also bothers me how girls think they need a guy to 'complete' themselves. Like they can't survive on their own...psh. I could keep going on forever...but my soapbox is limited to only so many.
Anyway...the new iPhone 2 is coming out...and there are so many rumors surrounding it. I won't repeat them cause we don't what it's really going to entail...oh shucks what am I talking about...Read away on the rumors.
But it's gonna be $199...I like it...much more feasible :)

P.S. I don't own a diary.

On my table...

I realized you can't save people...not from their problems, their addictions, their miseries...and I knew that. But I thought you could coerce/sway their thinking to save them. But it's not at all possible. They have to want to be saved and in their desire to be saved that spurns the course of action they will take to be saved. The only thing you can do is put the facts on the table..i.e. smoking will kill you. So I shall do the same: Les Feldick.

My deep-seated desires...

I come up with (well at least I think I do) the best post topics for my blog when I'm biking home. I realized today that I have a deep-seated desire to get a motorcycle. And no Harley Davidson either; I want a crotch rocket. I don't know if that will or will not surprise people...This has been building up ever since I saw a girl riding her own motorcycle...no biggie...but she was riding her bike with heels on. Dude, I could so do that. Today I saw a girl riding her bike with, ya know, normal clothes and sneakers on. But when she passed me, I realized: I want one. So that's going on my list of things to get.
Anyway, a friend of mine (thank you Keith Newhouse!) recently clued me on Friend Feed and Twitter. I was a 'lil hesitant about using Twitter, for reasons I really don't know why. But I have fallen into love with it and I don't think I'm gonna try to fall out of it. Twitter is, basically, a one sentence blog...you can update it as often as you would like with what you're doing, thinking, where you're going, etc. Now FaceBook has the same thing...you can update your status. And I love that about FaceBook....but I always feel like I can't update it all that much, because seriously who wants to see a mini-feed of my pointless crap? But with Twitter...oh baby. I can inundate it with my pointless crap...and people will even subscribe to it. Oh sweet Love. I have yet to really get into FriendFeed....Twitter seems to fulfill my selfish needs. You can hook it up to your blog so whenever you update Twitter you update your blog...how nice. Of course this would be much more convenient (you know I hate that word 'convenient' I have to try, like, 15 times to get it spelled correctly!) if I had a mobile phone complete with internet. Anyway my amigo Keith, is working for this place Grooveshark, if you've never heard of it. Please, don't tell me you haven't and just go check it out.
Anything else...lemme check my cerebellum....nope that's all.

It's a Sunday

About two days ago I gave blood...yeah, I know... I'm such a humanitarian.... and I was sitting there with that needle stuck in my arm thinking "dude I don't know how they do it in the movies." You know how there's those scenes in the movies where some guy is in the hospital bed and the bad guy is coming after him so he just yanks the needles out of his arm and runs off to escape the bad guys only to later destroy them (hope I didn't ruin the ending for you)..but I could never do that. Yes, I am fully aware they are just acting.. but still I could never do it. I actually hate needles...I can't look when they stick me...but I do it anyway to face that fear. (I feel like I should pound my chest and do a Tarzan yell right about now.) I think it's good for me.
Anyway nothing new in the world of technology...at least nothing that I know of...I'm sure there is something new...I'm just too lazy to look it up. :P Hey, it's a Sunday, what did you expect?
But now, I should mention I am going to direct your attention to a certain site. Why? Well it has been insinuated/suggested/referenced that I plagiarized/copy/stole my site name from this site. It's a very good site...I actually go to the same university and am in the same college with the owner of the site. I never noticed the name of his site until it was brought to my attention (I am generally not very good with details) and I never correlated the name of my site with his until, again, it was brought to my attention. Anyway....I have his explicit permission to link to his site (which I'm calling 'The Original' because it has been thus assumed) so check it frequently and at your leisure...
hmmm anything else? nothing except it rained today and I took a picture of what it left behind.
Oh and I got my site name by taking my first, middle, and last name...scrambling the letters...and pulling a meaningless word from it: mileless. I kinda liked it...if I had to put a definition to the word I would say it means to go nowhere fast.
